Christian Aid, West office
Christian Aid is an official agency of the UK and Ireland churches and has its office for the West of England in Thornbury High Street.
We work where the need is greatest, regardless of religion, through local organisations in more than 50 of the world's poorest countries. At home and overseas, Christian Aid campaigns to change the structures that keep people poor, challenging inequality and injustice.
The West office in Thornbury supports the work of hundreds of churches and thousands of volunteers in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.

South Gloucestershire Voluntary Sector Forum
The Voluntary Sector Forum is one network that every voluntary, community or social enterprise group or organization in South Gloucestershire can join regardless of community, interest or location.
It will meet regularly to share information about key issues that concern us all and work together to develop a constructive response.
It will strengthen the links between voluntary sector representatives and the groups they represent, provide a focus for consultations with statutory bodies, facilitate the two-way flow of information between the voluntary sector and the statutory sector, and provide an opportunity for voluntary sector organisations to meet, discuss, share expertise and decide on how to progress on key issues.
For more information, contact Gillian Graham on 01454 865205.

Yate and District Rotary Club
We are a dual gender club of around 30 members, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
We meet every week at 8pm at Stanshawes Court, with business meetings on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month, and an informal dinner, with a guest speaker, on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays.
Our partners are very important to us, and on any 5th Thursday in the month we enjoy a social event with them.
Our main fundraising activity of each year is the annual South Cotswold Beer Festival, and we support local and international projects.
We welcome new members. Please visit our website to find out more about us and contact us if you have any questions.

Yate Volunteer Centre
We help people find voluntary work or groups/organisations find volunteers! People who visit our website or call in are amazed by the different types of volunteering available – from home-working to gardening, joining a committee or helping at a hospital, and much more.
While Yate Library is refurbished we will be based in an office in Yate Shopping Centre and will probably have to work by appointment only, but please check our website, email or phone 01454 324102.
We also host the South Gloucestershire Vinvolved scheme, which works with volunteers aged 16-24. If you are a young person interested in volunteering, call 01454 317289 or email southglos@youngbristol.com
